We do not take insurance. An invoice will be provided for Ontario clients to submit to OAP, their secondary health insurance or their health savings account for potential reimbursement. Upon request a superbill can be provided, which you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement depending on your health insurance policy, please contact your insurer to ask about coverage and requirements before scheduling an evaluation or speech therapy session.

Does telepractice work?

Yes! According to research in the field and literature review by Wales, Skinner and Hayman (2017), speech therapy provided via telepractice is an effective modality for providing speech therapy services. Multiple research studies evaluating treatment of speech sound disorders via telepractice found that speech therapy via telepractice outcomes were equivalent or somewhat better than in person speech therapy treatment, depending on outcome measurement (Gabel, Grogan-Johnson, Alvares, Bechstein, & Taylor, 2013; Grogan-Johnson, Alvares, Rowan, & Creaghead, 2010; Grogan-Johnson et al., 2011). If you would like to learn more about the research supporting the efficacy of speech therapy via telepractice, please read my blog post. Speech-language pathologists are held to high standards by their licensing boards and professional associations and services are expected to be delivered with equal quality across service modalities and settings.
